A shopping cart abandoned in the alleyway next to a Chinese restaurant, right behind my house. An old man was screamed at me for several minutes in this very alley for messing up his shortcut by pulling into my driveway.

 The view of the rear of the nearby Chinese restaurant from my apartment’s back yard, more or less.  Chewbecca and Sinister Sweetness, two players from PVRD’s Western Mass Destruction, warm up before a bout against the Ithaca SufferJets. Unsurprisingly, this point-and-shoot isn’t so great at low-light sports photography.  Afternoon sun picks out the brickwork over the Northampton liquor store behind my house.  The smokestack overlooked the old Northampton felt factory.  A piece of public art on the lawn at Smith College.  Screenprinted protest posters under a road overpass in downtown Northampton.  A fake velvet curtain that hides all the pinball machines in the Smith College campus center.  A gravestone in the Northampton cemetery just before sunset. |
