 A man bathes his elephant in the river in Sarauha, at the edge of Chitwan National Park.  Elderly Hindus literally waiting for death in a hospice immediately next to the burning ghats in Varanasi, where the faithful dead are cremated. According to Hindu tradition, people who die and are cremated within the city limits escape the cycle of resurrection and proceed directly to Nirvana.  The men’s side of the Western Wall, the sole remaining piece of the original Temple Mount and one of (if not) the oldest holy site in the world.
